- 1). Click the Start menu and enter "CMD" without the quotes in the search box. Press "Enter."
- 2). Type "IPconfig /all" in the command prompt box without the quotes and press "Enter."
If you get an error stating you do not have admin rights go to the Start menu and select All Programs. Right-click "Command Prompt" and select Run as Administrator. - 3). Look under the Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection heading. The combination of letters and numbers next to the words "Physical Address" is your MAC ID.
