How to Create a Giant Photo Card
- 1). Place a piece of standard poster board in a color of your choice on your work space. You can purchase poster board from a local crafts store or grocery store. Fold the poster board in half horizontally to form your card base.
- 2). Enlarge a favorite photo so that it is large enough to cover your poster board. You can do this at a local copy center that will print extra large photos. An alternative is to gather 20 to 30 favorite photos that are a standard three-by-five-inch size.
- 3). Glue the photo or photos onto the front of the poster board card using archival glue. You can find archival glue in the scrapbook section of your local crafts store. This will help to prevent damage to your photos, as standard craft glue can cause discoloration or bleeding of your photos.
- 4). Allow the photo or photos to dry.
- 5). Open the card and write a personal message inside using markers or paint pens. With such a large space, you might wish to pen a poem for the inside of the card. You might also write a "Happy Birthday!" or "Happy Holidays!" message on the front of the card with the paint pens.
- 6). Embellish the front or inside of the card with shapes or borders that you cut out from craft paper. Add a glitter glue border. Use paint pens to make a border around photos. Be creative.
