How to Make Chalkboard Stickers

Purchase a roll of chalkboard contact paper (available online from Amazon or at most craft stores) and roll it out on a flat surface. Using your stencil and pencil, trace a design of your choice onto the contact paper. - 2). Cut your design out with scissors or a craft knife.
- 3). Peel the backing off of the contact paper and apply to the wall, smoothing out air bubbles as you do so that your writing surface is completely flat and you're done! These are especially convenient for to-do lists, reminders in the kitchen, or in apartments and dorm rooms that prohibit painting on the walls. Chalkboard wall decals are also helpful to prevent kids from drawing directly on the walls.

Spread newspaper on a flat surface to protect your work space in a well ventilated area. - 2). Lay your adhesive sheeting on top of the newspaper.
- 3). Coat with a layer of chalkboard paint, leaving time to dry between coats. If you plan to move these labels around frequently, look into purchasing an adhesive sheet such as vinyl rather than paper so that it doesn't permanently adhere to your surface. Painted stickers can be used for all the same purposes as pre-made chalkboard paper.

Add a creative flair to your labels. Use a stencil and scissors or a craft knife to cut your chalkboard sheeting into creative shapes for jars, bins, and luggage or closet storage boxes. - 2). Cut a generous piece of chalkboard sheeting and apply to the refrigerator or other eye-catching place to hold reminders about chores, dieting, or to deter hungry people from devouring all of the food.
- 3). Use your imagination and find a new, creative use for these. Paste them onto notebooks, turn them into a calendar, or turn them into a gift. The sky is the limit for possibilities.
