How to Clean a Swimming Pool Filter Hose

- 1). Turn off the pool filter. Disconnect the filter hose from the pool by opening the skimmer and pulling up on the hose.
- 2). Pull the hose carefully from the pool. Push the tabs in on the vacuum to disconnect it from the hose.
- 3). Lay the hose on a flat, relatively clean surface, such as a deck or cement patio. Stretch out the hose from end to end.
- 4). Wipe the hose clean with a dry towel. Work thoroughly to get in between all grooves on the hose.
- 5). Place a garden hose into one end of the swimming pool filter hose. Turn on the water to flush out all the debris from the hose. Allow the hose to dry prior to storing it or placing it back into the pool for use.
