How to Make a Lanyard Badge
- 1). Trim a piece of printer paper or heavy card stock to the size of a credit card.
- 2). Write the necessary details on the card, such as name, department, address, employee number or whatever identification information is required.
- 3). Attach a small photograph to the corner of the paper using glue or tape if photo identification is needed.
- 4). Place the paper inside a laminating sheet and feed the sheet through the laminator.
- 5). Cut the excess laminating sheet away from the badge.
- 6). Punch a hole in the badge so it can be attached to the lanyard.
- 1). Find a program to create an identification badge. The Big Huge Labs website offers a free badge maker online. You can edit your badge using Photoshop, Microsoft Word or another word processing or photo-editing program.
- 2). Choose a folder to upload on the Big Huge Labs badge maker program. The program will prompt you to select the folder that holds digital photos you have saved. If you are creating badges for someone else, they must email a digital photo you can save into a computer folder, or they may send you a hard copy of a photo you can scan into your folder.
- 3). Select a digital photo from the computer folder and decide how you want the photo positioned. Choose the style and color of the badge from the options provided.
- 4). Input the necessary information, such as name, address and department, in the fields provided. Click "Create."
- 5). Choose the option to "Save" the badge, and save it to a computer folder. Open the folder holding the saved badge and double click on the thumbnail of the badge to open it.
- 6). Print out the badge by clicking on the printer logo.
- 7). Laminate the badge and punch a hole in the badge using a hole punch.
