How to Make a Dollhouse Refrigerator

    • 1). Place the box on its side on a piece of white construction paper or cardstock and trace around it with a pencil. Do the same for the other side, as well as the top, bottom, front and back of the box.

    • 2). Cut out the pieces of white construction paper or cardstock along the tracing lines.

    • 3). Open the lid of the box, then glue the pieces of white construction paper or cardstock to each side of the box. (You can use double-sided tape instead of glue if you prefer.)

    • 4). Stand the box on one end, with the open lid facing toward you. This will be the door of the refrigerator.

    • 5). Cut a horizontal slit through the lid, about 2/3 of the way from the top, to make separate doors for the refrigerator and freezer. Draw handles on the doors using a black fine-tipped marker.

    • 6). Cut two pieces of white construction paper or cardstock, each about 1 inch wider than the box and just as deep. These will be the shelves for the refrigerator.

    • 7). Fold the sides of each shelf down about 1/2 inch to make tabs. Put glue or double-sided tape on each tab and insert the shelves into the refrigerator. Stick the tabs to the inside walls of the refrigerator. Let the glue dry completely before putting anything on the shelves.
