- 1). Verify that the wireless router connected to the DSL or cable Internet connection is turned on and working properly.
- 2). Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet jack on the back of the DVR unit.
- 3). Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable into the LAN port on the back of the receiver unit.
- 4). Turn on the DVR and television to test the connection.
- 5). Press the "Menu" button on the remote control for the DVR.
- 6). Select the option for Help and Settings.
- 7). Select the Setup option and then the Network option.
- 8). Verify that you have a wireless connection by selecting the Connect Now option.
