How to Connect a Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter 300/600
- 1). Pull on the tabs on the front of the power inverter to remove the front panel. Inside of the compartment, you will see the wires you need to connect to the ignition switch wires underneath your dashboard. Connect the black power wire from the inverter to the black terminal wire for the ignition switch. Connect the white wire to the neutral terminal wire on the ignition switch. Connect the green and yellow wire to the ground wire on the ignition switch.
- 2). Close the cover on the front of the power inverter. The connections you just made will allow you to turn on the power converter by moving the key in your vehicle to the accessory position. This will also allow you to leave the battery connected to the device at all times.
- 3). Open the hood of your vehicle. Run the battery cables from the inverter to a location near the battery. Connect the positive battery cable from the back of the inverter to the positive terminal on your battery. Connect the negative battery cable from the inverter to the negative post on the battery. Close the hood.
- 4). Connect the devices you want to use with the inverter to the AC outlets located on the front of the unit. Make sure the power switches are in the "Off" position. Turn the key in your vehicle to the "AC" option. Turn the power switch on the inverter to the "On" position. Turn on each device individually. When the indicator light turns from green or orange to red, you are over the unit's limit and cannot use any more devices.
