Polyester or Synthetic Materials

• 1). Vacuum the chair. Remove all debris, dirt, rocks or anything else that might be on the chair. Cleaning without removing the debris can result in other stains that are harder to remove than water stains.
  
  
• 2). Spray a fabric cleaner on an inconspicuous spot. Check for any color damage or fading to ensure the fabric is not ruined by the cleaner. Wipe the fabric cleaner away from the spot.
  
  
• 3). Spray the fabric cleaner directly on the stain and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Make sure you don't soak the fabric--synthetic materials like polyester are damaged and shrunk when soaked.
  
  
• 4). If the stain persists beyond the fabric cleaner, use baby wipes on it. Baby wipes have gentle cleaners that are not harmful to the materials.
  
  

Leather Office Chairs

• 1). Vacuum the office chair and remove any debris. Like the synthetic materials, vacuuming prevents ruining the chair accidentally during the cleaning process.
  
  
• 2). Put mayonnaise on the water stain and rub it into the leather. Allow it to sit for a couple of hours.
  
  
• 3). Wipe the mayonnaise off with a damp cloth. If necessary, rinse the cloth, wring it out and wipe the area again to ensure all of the mayonnaise is removed from the leather chair.
