How to Make an Easy Pistol Crossbow
- 1). Put a pencil down horizontally on a table with the eraser end facing left. Put another pencil down horizontally on the table beneath the first pencil with the eraser facing left. Push the sides of the two pencils together.
- 2). Tape the two ends of the pencils together with cellophane tape.
- 3). Measure 2 inches from the eraser ends of the two pencils. Wrap a rubber band around the two pencils at the 2-inch mark. Tie a knot in the rubber band to secure it in place.
- 4). Measure 2 inches from the pointed ends of the two pencils. Wrap a rubber band around the two pencils at the 2-inch mark. Tie a knot in the rubber band to secure it in place.
- 5). Repeat Steps 1-4 with two more No. 2 pencils.
- 6). Unscrew the barrel from the plastic ballpoint pen's casing. Remove the ink insert from inside of the barrel end of the plastic ballpoint pen. Discard the ink insert and the barrel.
- 7). Place the plastic ballpoint pen's casing on top of one of the sets of pencils so that the front and back end of the plastic ballpoint pen's casing are seated against the rubber bands on the set of pencils.
- 8). Tape the front and back end of the plastic ballpoint pen's casing to the set of pencils with cellophane tape.
- 9). Rotate the set of pencils with the plastic ballpoint pen's casing on it so that the eraser ends are facing you.

Measure 2 inches from the pointed ends of the set of pencils. Place the middle point of the other set of pencils at the 2-inch mark so that they form a "T." - 11
Wrap a rubber band around the two sets of pencils where they meet . Tie a knot in the rubber band to secure it in place. Repeat this process with another rubber band. - 12
Slide a rubber band through the left side of the set of pencils forming the "T." Slide a rubber band through the right side of the set of pencils forming the "T." - 13
Pull each rubber band back towards the eraser ends of the set of pencils that has the plastic ballpoint pen's casing on it. - 14
Secure the ends of the rubber bands to the back end of the plastic ballpoint pen's casing with duct tape. - 15
Straighten out both ends of the paperclip with your fingers. Bend one of the straightened ends of the paperclip into a "U" shape. - 16
Pull back on the plastic ballpoint pen's casing with your fingers. Make a small hole in the bottom of the plastic ballpoint pen's casing near its middle with the utility knife. - 17
Place the straightened end of the paperclip into the hole in the bottom of the plastic ballpoint pen. - 18
Insert a wooden skewer into the front end of the plastic ballpoint pen's casing. - 19
Aim the pistol crossbow you have made at a tree or rock. Pull back on the "trigger" formed from the "U" shape of the paperclip to release the plastic ballpoint pen and fire the projectile.
