How to Hide Scratches in Stainless Steel
- 1). Observe the direction of the grain of the stainless steel.
- 2). Rub the surface in the same direction as the grain with long, uniform strokes, using the nonmetallic abrasive pad. Optionally, prepare a soapy solution of warm water and mild detergent and wet the pad. This step is not essential; some prefer to use a lubricant with the scrubbing pad.
- 3). Rinse the surface with clear water. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth to avoid water spotting.
