How to Remove the Gummy Labels Off Bottles

- 1). Pour 1 capful of cooking oil onto a cloth.
- 2). Apply the oil to the entire label. You may need to add another capful of oil to the cloth to be able to completely cover the label with oil.
- 3). Let the oil sit on the label for 24 hours. This will allow enough time for the the oil to penetrate the label and its adhesive.
- 4). Start at one edge and slowly pull the label off. If the gummy label is in pieces, peel off the pieces that are on the outside and work your way in.
- 5). Put a capful of oil onto any gummy adhesive that remains and let sit overnight.
- 6). Wipe the adhesive off the bottle with a paper towel and wash the bottle in dishwashing soap and hot water.
