How to Make Rosette Clips
- 1). Thread the needle with 24 inches of thread and knot one end. Make large basting stitches along the entire edge of one long side of the ribbon, starting 1/4 inch from one end. Pull the thread to gather the ribbon to half its original length. Knot the thread.
- 2). Fold the ribbon end closest to the needle at a right angle and sew it in place with several small stitches. Coil the gathered ribbon around the end and sew in place every inch with several small stitches.
- 3). Fold the end of the rosette to the back of the flower and stitch it in place. Knot the thread to complete the rosette.
- 4). Cut a circle of felt to a slightly smaller circumference than the completed rosette.
- 5). Open the hair clip and insert the circle of felt. Squeeze fabric glue over the top of the clip and the felt circle. Press the ribbon rosette on the glue. Let the glue dry for 1 hour.
