How to Mezz People in "Fallout 3"

    Instructions

    • 1). Talk to Grouse at the Paradise Falls entrance and mention that you are interested in work. Grouse will give you a Mesmetron, 50 Mesmetron power cells, a slave collar and the "Strictly Business" quest to Mezz and collar Arkansas, Susan Lancaster, Red and Flak. You can enslave characters besides the targets of "Strictly Business."

    • 2). Equip the Mesmetron and approach a character you want to Mezz. Fire the Mesmetron at the target's head from the shortest range possible to maximize the chances of a successful Mezzing. The character will be Mezzed, become hostile or will die after about five seconds from cranial detonation. You will always Mezz the "Strictly Business" quest targets.

    • 3). Talk to the character while it is Mezzed. Select the first dialogue option to access the character's inventory, the second dialogue option to put a slave collar on the stunned character and the third dialogue option to disengage from the character. Collar the character once you've taken any items of interest from the character's inventory, and you will lose 100 Karma. Select the first and third dialogue options after collaring a character to send the character to Paradise Falls and the second dialogue option to open access the character's inventory.

    • 4). Travel back to Paradise Falls and talk to Grouse. You will receive 250 caps and another slave collar if the slave arrived. Wait several hours if the slave has not yet arrived and talk to Grouse again. You will have to buy a replacement slave collar if the slave dies before arriving at Paradise Falls.
