Hooking Up PC Sound Cables

    • 1). Turn the case of your computer around, giving you a full view of the back panel. This is where your sound card inputs are located.

    • 2). Look at the inputs on your sound card. Each input is color coded, with one being pink, one being green and one being black. Each also has a small icon above it, like a small microphone or a small speaker.

    • 3). Plug the metal pin (similar to the metal pin on the end of a pair of headphones) on the end of your PC sound cable into the appropriate input on your sound card. Match up the colors and plug it into the same colored hole on your sound card. If your PC sound cable is not color coded, connect the cable based on what type of device it is. For example, if you're plugging in a microphone, it goes into the input with the small microphone above it.
