How to Correct an Inbox Repair Tool Which Does Not Work
- 1). Click "Start." Type "regedit" in the "Search" field and press "Enter." This opens the Registry Editor.
- 2). Navigate the following registry paths on the left side of the window pane. Right-click the registry key at the end of the path and click "Delete."

Exit the Registry Editor. - 3). Press the "Windows" key plus "F."
- 4). Type the following file names in the "Search" box one at a time and press "Enter:"
Msoeacct.dll
Msoert2.dll
Msoe.dll
Msoeres.dll
Oeimport.dll
Csapi3t1.dll
Directdb.dll
Wab32.dll
Wab32res.dll - 5). Right-click each of the files and click "Rename." Add ".old" to the end of each file name. For example, the file "Msoeactt.dll" becomes "Msoeactt.dll.old."
- 6). Place the Microsoft Outlook installation disc into the CD-ROM. Allow the autorun wizard to appear. Click "Next" at the on-screen prompts, and agree to the license terms. Install it in the "Program Files" folder.
- 7). Click "Start." Type "Scanpst.exe" in the "Search" field and press "Enter." This will open the inbox repair tool. Run the tool as usual.
