How to Make My CD Autoplay in Windows XP

    • 1). Minimize your browser window and open programs or folders. Access "My Computer," either on your desktop or via the Start menu.

    • 2). Double-click on your CD-ROM drive; this is usually drive "E"; however, it is always labeled "CD" or "CD-ROM."

    • 3). Click "File," and then choose "Properties." Select the tab labeled "Autoplay" under the Properties menu.

    • 4). Select "Music" or "Audio CD." Change the selection from "Take No Action" to "Play." Choose a different media player, if desired (Windows Media Player is the default player). Click "Apply" to save your changes, and then click "OK" to exit the menu.
