How to Update GIT
- 1). Shut down all of your applications and programs.
- 2). Launch a browser and go to the GIT website.
- 3). Click the "Windows" link on the right side of the page. Click the full installer link.
- 4). Click the "Save File" button in the dialog box that appears. Click the .exe file that is downloaded to your computer. Follow the prompts that walk you through installation of the software. This will include designating a location for the software on your computer.
- 5). Restart your computer when the software has been updated.
