How to Install Cyrillic Fonts in Windows XP

    • 1). Click Start > Control Panel. This opens the Control Panel. Double-click the "Regional and Language Options" icon in the Control Panel. This opens the Regional and Languages Options dialog box.

    • 2). Click the "Languages" tab in the Regional and Languages Options dialog box. Click the "Details" button on the Languages tab. This opens the Text Services and Input Languages dialog box. Click the "Add" button in the Text Services and Input Languages dialog box. This opens the Add Input Language dialog box.

    • 3). Click the "Input Language" drop-down menu and then click to select the language you want to use. Languages that use Cyrillic fonts have the word Cyrillic in parentheses after the name of the language.

    • 4). Click the "Keyboard layout/IME" drop-down menu and then select the language or keyboard style you want to use, if applicable. Keyboards based on Cyrillic fonts have the word Cyrillic in parentheses after the name of the language or keyboard style.

    • 5). Click the "OK" button to add the desired input languages and close the Add Input Language dialog box. Click the "Apply" button in the Text Services and Input Languages dialog box to apply the changes, and then click the "OK" button to close the dialog box.

    • 6). Click the "Apply" button in the Regional and Language Options dialog box to apply the changes, and then click the "OK" button to close the dialog box. The Cyrillic fonts will now be installed and available for use.
