How to Play Music Through a Sound Card
- 1). Turn on your computer. Click on the "Start" menu in the lower left corner of your desktop screen. Go to "All Programs" and select "Windows Media Player" in the drop-down menu.
- 2). Locate and click the "Switch to Library" button in the upper left corner of the Windows Media Player screen. Click on the "Organize" button in the "Library" window and then select "Options."
- 3). Select the "Devices" tab in the "Options" menu window. Click on "Speakers" and select "Properties."
- 4). Select your sound card from the list of available devices and click the "OK" button.
- 1). Turn on your Apple computer. Locate and click on the "System Preferences" icon in the applications dock along the bottom of your computer's screen.
- 2). Click on the "Sound" icon in the "System Preferences" menu. Click on the "Output" tab in the "Sound" window. Select your sound card from the list of available audio devices. Close the "Sound" window to activate these settings.
- 3). Click on the "iTunes" icon in your applications dock. Play any track in your iTunes library to test your sound card.
