- 1). Wipe a thin layer of leather-recoloring balm over the scratched areas. This balm should be adequate to disguise shallow scratches, even if they expose some fabric beneath the surface leather.
- 2). Buff away the excess leather-recoloring balm in a smooth circular motion, using a chamois cloth.
- 3). Spray a light coating of orange or olive oil on the surface of the couch. This will reduce the contrast between the damaged and nondamaged areas of the couch, and it can help keep the leather supple. Wipe away the excess oil with another chamois cloth using a straight sweeping motion.
