Login

• With Microsoft SharePoint, administrators can grant access to different content databases available. Occasionally, users encounter login errors or will be unable to access the content databases. Fixing this requires the administrator to enable the Network Service and database creation rights for that person in the SQL Server.
  
  

Configuration Wizard

• Microsoft SharePoint has a configuration wizard application for quick installation of the program. Errors can occur with the application due to a conflict with installed service packs and updates for SharePoint. After installing any update or service pack for SharePoint, it is recommended that you re-run the configuration wizard to avoid potential problems.
  
  

Database

• SharePoint uses a configuration database that is used to log and work in conjunction with the different created content databases. A common error message that you sometimes encounter is "Cannot connect to the configuration database." This is usually the result of the user accessing the configuration database not having the required permissions, which can be added using the SQL Server database.
