- 1). Click the "Start" button and select "All Programs."
- 2). Select "Accessories" and click the "Windows Explorer" icon.
- 3). Click on "My Computer" in the left-hand pane.
- 4). Click the "View" drop-down menu at the top of the window and select the "Details" option.
- 5). Click the "Tools" drop-down menu at the top of the window and select the "Folder Options" option.
- 6). Click the "View" tab and click "Apply to All Folders" at the top of the tab.
- 7). Click the "Yes" button in the dialog pop-up box to agree to apply the Details view to all folders on the computer. Click the "OK" button to close the Folder Options dialog box.
