How to Connect an iMac to a PS3

    • 1). Download and install a networking program to the iMac's desktop, like the MediaLink program (see the link in Resources). Restart the iMac.

    • 2). Go to the "Apple" menu and select "System Preferences." Click on the icon of the networking program in the window that appears to go to a new window.

    • 3). Click on the "Sources" tab and select the programs that will be networked with the PS3 from the left column, such as "iPhoto," "iTunes" and folders.

    • 4). Click on the "Sources" tab and select "Playstation 3" from the list in the left column. Click on the "Start" button at the top of the window. Close the window by clicking on the red button at the upper-left corner.

    • 5). Turn on the Playstation 3. Select the "Video," "Music" or "Photo" icon and scroll down to see the files that are on the iMac. Select a file to play or listen to now that the iMac is connected to the Playstation 3.
