How to Make the Windows XP Taskbar Transparent
- 1). Visit the AKSoftware website listed in Resources and click "Download."
- 2). Click "Save" to save the TransBar setup file to your hard drive.
- 3). Locate the file after it downloads and double-click it. A wizard will walk you through the installation process.
- 4). Click "Launch TransBar" when the installation finishes. The TransBar window will open.
- 5). Put a check mark next to "Enable Transparent Taskbar."
- 6). Click the slider on the horizontal "Opacity" scale and drag it to the right to increase your taskbar's transparency. Drag it to the left to decrease the transparency.
- 7). Click "Apply" to view the changes. Continue to adjust the slider until the taskbar reaches the desired transparency level.
