Use TransBar

• 1). Visit the AKSoftware website listed in Resources and click "Download."
  
  
• 2). Click "Save" to save the TransBar setup file to your hard drive.
  
  
• 3). Locate the file after it downloads and double-click it. A wizard will walk you through the installation process.
  
  
• 4). Click "Launch TransBar" when the installation finishes. The TransBar window will open.
  
  
• 5). Put a check mark next to "Enable Transparent Taskbar."
  
  
• 6). Click the slider on the horizontal "Opacity" scale and drag it to the right to increase your taskbar's transparency. Drag it to the left to decrease the transparency.
  
  
• 7). Click "Apply" to view the changes. Continue to adjust the slider until the taskbar reaches the desired transparency level.
  
  

Use WinPersonalizer

• 1). Visit the Holersoft website and click the "Click here to download WinPersonalizer."
  
  
• 2). Click "Save" to save the Transparent TaskBar 1 setup file to your hard drive.
  
  
• 3). Locate the file after it downloads and double-click it. A wizard will walk you through the installation process.
  
  
• 4). Click "Launch WinPersonalizer Now" and then click "Finish." The application will open.
  
  
• 5). Click "Miscellaneous" and then click "Taskbar." A horizontal slider will appear.
  
  
• 6). Click the slider on the horizontal "Opacity" scale and drag it to the right to increase your taskbar's transparency. Drag it to the left to decrease the transparency. The taskbar's transparency will change in real time as you drag the slider.
  
  

Use AlphaXP

• 1). Visit the ZeroHero Software website to review their AlphaXP program. You will see a "14-Day Trial" button and a "Freeware" button.
  
  
• 2). Double-click the version that you prefer. A window will open and prompt you to save the installation file. Click "Save." Windows will save the file to your hard drive.
  
  
• 3). Locate the file after it downloads and double-click it. A wizard will walk you through the installation process.Click "Finish" when the installation program ends.
  
  
• 4). Click the Windows "Start" menu and select "All Programs."
  
  
• 5). Select "AlphaXP" from the program list. The application will open. You will see a list of options with check boxes.
  
  
• 6). Remove the check marks from all options and then click "Taskbar Transparency" to put a check by that option.
  
  
• 7). Click the slider on the horizontal "Taskbar Transparency" scale and drag it to the right to increase your taskbar's transparency. Drag it to the left to decrease the transparency. The taskbar's transparency will change in real time as you drag the slider.
