- 2). Pry the vent panel away from the dashboard above the stereo unit with a trim panel removal tool. Pry the trim panel surrounding the gear selector lever away from the Infinity's center console.
- 3). Remove the two screws at the top and bottom edges of the stereo assembly with a Phillips screwdriver. Slide the entire stereo unit away from the dashboard. Pull the stereo assembly far enough so that you can reach the wiring connections at the back of the unit.
- 4). Unplug the stereo wiring connectors from the outlets on the back panel of the Infinity's factory stereo deck. Plug the stereo wiring connectors into the wiring harness adapter leads. Plug the wiring harness adapter lead connectors into the outlets on the back of the stereo unit.
- 5). Plug the FM modulator lead connectors into the available and appropriately labeled wiring harness adapter leads. See the adapter leads for abbreviations for auxiliary connections or consult the accompanying manual for guidance. Feed the FM modulator's input lead wire through the opening on the right side of the stereo mounting dock. The wire will emerge in the glove compartment, adjacent to the stereo dock.
- 6). Place the main box of the FM modulator in the back of the stereo dock and slide the head unit back into place within the Infinity's dashboard. Replace the two screws at the top and bottom of the assembly with the Phillips screwdriver.
- 7). Place the vents into the opening at the top-center of the dashboard and press them until they snap back into place. Place the trim panel around the gear selector and press firmly around the edge of the panel until it snaps back into place. Return to the Infinity's engine compartment.
- 8). Replace the negative battery cable clamp onto the negative battery terminal post. Tighten the bolt on the clamp with the wrench. Close the hood.
