How to Reset the Radio on a 1997 Chevy Truck
- 1). Open the hood of your 1997 Chevy truck and loosen the retaining nut on the negative battery cable clamp with a socket wrench.
- 2). Slide the cable clamp off the negative battery terminal.
- 3). Wait 3 minutes and reconnect the cable clamp. Tighten the retaining nut.
- 4). Press the power button on your Chevy's radio and wait for the radio to display "CODE" on the display screen.
- 5). Enter the factory unlock code on your radio's keypad. The radio will reset and unlock.
