How to Recover the Windows Vista Installation CD
- 1). Download the free BitTorrent software program on your hard drive from the µTorrent Web site.
- 2). Go to NeoSmart. Scroll down the page and select the ".torrent" file that fits your Windows Vista version. Download it on your hard drive. The files called ".torrent" files will actually download ".iso" images when activated.
- 3). Run the BitTorrent software program you downloaded earlier. BitTorrent is freeware that uses minimal computer resources to open files that are located in different places on the Internet.
- 4). Go to "File" and click on "Add Torrent." Browse and select the ".torrent" file you downloaded in Step 2 on your hard drive.
- 5). Select where you want the file to be downloaded on your hard drive and click "OK." This will extract an ".iso" file.
- 6). Burn the uploaded file to a DVD. This will save the Vista Recovery Disc on an external device in case you need to recover Vista applications.
- 1). Go to the Iso Recorder web site. Download the "ISO Recorder" program you need from the list and upload it on your hard drive. ISO Recorder is freeware that allows for burning .iso files on a CD or DVD.
- 2). Insert a blank DVD in your computer drive and start Windows Explorer.
- 3). Browse your computer and find the .iso file extension. Right-click on it and select "Copy Image to CD." Click "Next." Press "Finish" when the program is done.
