Vista Screensaver Won't Start

    • 1). Unplug the wireless mouse if you are using one. It will affect the screensaver if it is still plugged in.

    • 2). Go to the desktop of the Windows Vista computer. Click on the "Start" menu, and then click "Control Panel".

    • 3). Scroll down to the "Appearance and Personalization," icon and click "Personalization."

    • 4). Click "Screen Saver."

    • 5). Go to the bottom of the "Screen Saver" menu, and look for the "Wait Time" box.

    • 6). Lower the wait time so that the screen saver will start sooner.
