How to Stop Automatic Updates in XP
- 1). Click the Windows "Start" menu and click "Control Panel."
- 2). Click "Performance and Maintenance" and click "System" to launch the "System Properties" dialog box.
- 3). Click the "Automatic Updates" tab. Click the "Turn off automatic updating. I want to update my computer manually" option. Click "Apply" and click "OK" to save the changes.
