How to Program a GM Blazer Remote
- 1). Begin with all of the Blazer's doors closed. Push the key in the ignition but do not turn it. Toggle and hold the electronic unlock control located on the driver-side door. Keep this control held down throughout the next step.
- 2). Quickly rotate the key to the "On" position, but do not start the vehicle. Turn the key back to the "Off" position, and repeat this process a second time before returning to the "Off" position.
- 3). Let go of the unlock control on the driver-side door. The Blazer will cycle the locks down and then up to signal that programming mode has been activated. Do not remove the key from the ignition until the remote programming has been finished.
- 4). Press and hold both the lock and unlock keys on the remote. Wait to release these keys until the the Blazer signals that programming has finished by cycling the locks. If there are additional remotes to program, complete this step for each unit.
- 5). When all remotes have been synchronized with the Blazer, move the key to the "On" position to end the programming. All remotes should now be able to operate the electronic entry system on the vehicle.
