How to Install Microsoft XP

    • 1). Place the XP disc into the computer's CD tray and restart your computer. Press any key to launch into the XP CD when the screen displays "Press any key to boot from CD."

    • 2). Start the Windows XP setup by pressing "Enter" at the Welcome screen. Accept the "Microsoft Software License Terms" by pressing "F8."

    • 3). Select where you would like to install Windows XP. If you are upgrading from a previous version of Windows, select "Upgrade" and select your previous Windows partition. If you are performing a brand new installation, select the computer's hard drive to create a new Windows partition.

    • 4). Follow the remaining on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
