How to Upgrade Windows XP to Vista Home Premium

- 1). Insert the Vista upgrade disc into your CD or DVD drive, and wait for it to load the options screen.
- 2). Select "Check compatibility online" to allow your computer to connect to the Internet and verify that your system meets the hardware requirements to install and run Vista Home Premium.
- 3). Click "Install now" to begin installation after your computer completes its check of your system.
- 4). Select "Get installation updates" to connect to the Internet to check for updates to your upgrade software.
- 5). Type the 25 character Vista activation key from the back of the disc case or your packaging from your upgrade software.
- 6). Read the license terms and click on "I accept the license terms".
- 7). Click on "Upgrade" to begin upgrading your computer from XP to Vista Home Premium.
