How to Create a System Tray Icon

- 1). Right-click an empty space on the taskbar and then click "Properties."
- 2). Click "Customize" under "Notification Area."
- 3). Browse the list under "Icons," and change the setting in the drop-down box next to any icon for which you want to create a permanent system tray icon to "Show Icon and Notifications."
- 4). Click "Turn System Icons On or Off," and choose to turn on any system icons that you wish that do not currently appear in the notification area.
