- 1). Download the automatic fix file from Microsoft (see References). Click the "Fix it" button and select "Run" when prompted. If you're not on the computer that has the problem, you can save the file and transfer it using removable media (such as a USB flash drive).
- 2). Follow the instructions in the wizard to complete the process.
- 3). Restart your computer.
- 1). Open your "Start" menu and click "Run." If you don't see "Run," hold down the "Windows" key on your keyboard (it has the "Windows" logo on it) and press "R."
- 2). Type "cmd" and press "Enter."
- 3). Type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" and press "Enter." When the process finishes, you won't receive any message of confirmation, you'll just see the cursor return to accept your commands again.
- 4). Type "exit" and press "Enter." Now restart your computer to finalize the changes.
