How to Upgrade an XP Product Key
- 1). Click "Start" and "Run."
- 2). Type "regedit" and press "Enter."
- 3). Open the following folders: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Current Version\WPAEvents."
- 4). Right click "ODBETimer." Press "Modify." Change any character and press "Enter."
- 5). Click "Start," "Run," type "C:\windows\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a" and press "Enter" to input a new product key.
