• The opening behind the dash will fit single DIN and 1.5 DIN stereos, but double DIN will require cutting.
  
  

Space Behind the Dash

• Remove the bezel and the stock stereo. Slide your new stereo in to see if it will fit. If it won't fit, you can cut the plastic housing around the hole using a dremel tool.
  
  

Bezel

• The stereo bezel in the Ram 1500 is custom made to fit the stock stereo. Instead of the regular square hole, it has a rounded opening. You can purchase aftermarket bezels that will fit a standard stereo or you can modify the stock bezel by cutting the openings.
