How to Power on an In-Dash DVD to Test It Out
- 1). Attach all wire harnesses to the DVD player as they would normally be attached in the vehicle.
- 2). Locate the negative power cable and attach it to the negative terminal of the vehicle's battery.
- 3). Locate the positive power cables and attach them to the positive terminal of the vehicle's battery. There will be a cable marked for Always On (which receives power even when the vehicle is off) and a cable marked as Accessory (which receives power only when the vehicle is turned on). Both will be required for proper operation.
- 4). Turn on and test the DVD player while it is attached. Disconnect all cables when you're finished testing.
